Refapp is developed and powered by Talentwise AB, founded by entrepreneur Philip Sjögren. With years of experience in the recruitment industry, Philip saw firsthand how time-consuming and manual many processes remained—especially reference checking. That sparked the idea for a smarter, more modern approach.
Our mission is to develop intuitive digital tools that help recruiters and hiring teams make accurate, secure, and seamless hiring decisions. Refapp was created to modernize the reference checking process—giving people the flexibility to respond when it suits them, in a way that’s easy, professional, and safe.

Today, Refapp is the leading digital reference checking solution in the Nordics. Each year, organizations in over 30 countries conduct more than 1 million reference checks through the platform. Our users include recruitment and staffing firms, public sector organizations, government agencies, and private companies across a wide range of industries.
